How do I inspect the layers of a PSD without Photoshop?
Open the file in Figpea. The layer tree appears alongside the canvas with the file's groups and artboards intact, and selecting any layer — in the tree or by clicking it on the canvas — shows its properties in the inspector.
Which properties can I read for a layer?
Its exact position and size, opacity, blend mode, fills and gradients, corner radius, borders, drop and inner shadows, Photoshop layer effects, mask state, and for text layers the full font settings — family, size, weight, line height, letter spacing, alignment, and colour.
Can I hide layers to see what is underneath?
Yes. Every layer and group in the tree has a visibility toggle, so you can switch off the layers covering the part of the design you care about, exactly as you would in Photoshop.
Can I get the exact colour of something?
Yes. A layer's fill is shown in the inspector, and the colour picker reads the colour of any pixel on the canvas — both free, no account.
Can I read the text out of text layers?
Yes — a text layer's content and its type settings are both readable, so copy can be lifted from the design instead of retyped from a screenshot.
Does inspecting cost anything?
No. Opening a file, browsing the layer tree, inspecting properties, and picking colours are all free and need no account.
